Why aren't my updates appearing on my webpage?

When you make a new post, change your settings, or change your template, the changes should appear in your blog as soon as Blogger reports that publishing has been completed. If everything looks the same and you can't see your updates, then try the following suggestions:

Let's start by taking a look at the code created by the <$BlogItemCreate$> tag. This is the code that gets printed to your blog when you publish:

<a href="http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=XXX&postID=YYY; Post a Comment</a>

The 'XXX' and 'YYY' here represent the ID numbers which get inserted automatically for the appropriate blog and post. So what we're going to do here is replace the <$BlogItemCreate$> tag with this code, and then modify it as follows:

  1. Find your blog ID and put this into the code in place of "XXX." This is the same for all comments on a single blog, so you can just enter the number directly, without needing to use a special template tag.
  2. Put the <$BlogItemNumber$> tag in place of "YYY." This will automatically use the correct post ID number for each post.
  3. Change "Post a Comment" to say anything you like, such as "Dejame un comentario."
  • Refresh the published webpage in your browser, to make sure it is showing you the most recent version, and not a cached copy.
  • Clear'>http://www.google.com/search?q=clear+browser+cache">Clear your browser's cache and then refresh the page. Really. The vast majority of these problems are simply caching issues. Also try viewing your page in another browser, as a comparison.
  • If it is a new post that is missing, make sure that the post appears in the Blogger interface, with your other ones. (See How'>http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=102">How do I find an old post? if you need help with that.)
  • Make sure that you have not marked'>http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=137">marked the post as a draft . Draft posts will never publish until you change them back into ordinary posts.
  • If template changes aren't showing up, you'll want to check the code you added or changed, to make sure it is correct. If you need help with your code, check here .
